22 dhabi students suffer from corona, health rules strengthened

22 students from different departments have been infected with coronavirus at Dhaka University.


On Friday (January 21), the officer in charge of the Dhabi Corona Test Lab, Associate Professor of Microbiology, Md. Mizanur Rahman confirmed the matter.


"Till last Tuesday (January 18th), 36 of our students gave samples for coronavirus testing," he said. All of them gave samples for corona testing at the university's medical center. 22 of them reported corona positive. ’


In this regard, The Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University, Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman said, "As the outbreak increases, our departments are instructed to take 40 percent of classes online and 60 percent
in person. In addition, a department can take classes completely online if it wants to. That too is being told to the departments. ’


"Students still don't plan to close residential halls," he said. More emphasis is being laid on following hygiene than this. ’
